Specialized Source 2 WBR – LImited Edition – Now in Stock at Saint Louis Park, Dinkytown MN and Madison Downtown

My buyer just told me we’re getting two really cool bikes in stock in the coming weeks. It’s more like 4, but two of them don’t actually go to our store: they go somewhere much further away. The Source from Specialized is a purpose made bike – it’s comfortable, quick  and a fun ride for getting around town. It’s meant for commuting, errand running, or just keeping it simple and fun.

The bike YOU get – The Source 2 WBR (more on the WBR in a minute) is an aluminum framed, disc brake equipped commuting machine, but the neatest part is probably the Automatix hub from SRAM. As the name implies, the Automatix is an automatically shifting hub, and it comes with a simple two-gear setup. The Automatix changes based on your speed, automatically, via a centrifugal clutch. With disc brakes and this hub setup, along with a Gates Carbon Drive belt, fenders and rack, wherever you go in the city, whatever the time of year, the Source Two is meant to be a reliable bike.
While your daily trips might trend to the more mundane, criss-crossing the city for groceries, the pedal to and from work, or the trip to the hardware store, the second bike in this pair will see a much different use. The World Bicycle Relief organization developed the Buffalo Bike to meet the needs of those in rural Africa, where people’s choices for transport or usually walk or bike. The Buffalo Bike fills the need for a durable bike that can carry loads up to 400 lbs much faster than someone can walking.

The Buffalo bike makes earning a living possible for people in Sub-Saharan Africa, and enables health workers and others to get around as well. If you need a bike, you know someone else does. Check out the Specialized Source Two WBR. We’ll let you know when we get them in!
